FAQ

Quick answers to common questions about Chicken Flap.

My score isn't on the leaderboard

Chicken Flap uses Google Play Games Services for online leaderboards. Your score is always saved to your Google account when you play, but it only appears on the public leaderboard if your Play Games profile is set to Public. If your profile is Private, your scores stay saved — they just will not be shown to other players.

How to make your Play Games profile Public

Via the Google Play app

  1. Open the Google Play app and tap your profile icon (top right).
  2. Select Settings > General > Play Games profile.
  3. Tap Privacy & Settings and choose Public.

Via Android device settings

  1. Open your device Settings app.
  2. Tap your Google account (under Google services and preferences).
  3. Select All Services > Play Games > Privacy & Settings.
  4. Choose Public.

That's it — your scores will appear on the leaderboard the next time you play. (Existing scores appear immediately once the profile is Public.)

Achievements not unlocking

Achievements are synced with Google Play Games. If you just signed in, the game merges any achievements already on your account and then pushes any local ones. This happens automatically on sign-in and when you open the Achievements screen.

If an achievement still doesn't appear:

Easy checkpoints lost on restart

Fixed in version 1.1.33. Previously the checkpoint was written but not committed before the process could be killed. Now the game commits the checkpoint synchronously and shows a CONTINUE LVL X button on the Start screen beside NEW GAME whenever an Easy checkpoint exists.

Data & privacy

Chicken Flap stores local best scores, coins, and checkpoint progress on your device. If you sign in to Play Games, your leaderboard scores and achievement progress are sent to Google Play Games Services. The app does not read your email, contacts, files, or any other Google data.
